Obituary of Athanasios Galitsopoulos

Athanasios "Saki" Galitsopoulos died peacefully at his home in Sacramento on February 12th, 2022. He was born May 1st, 1946 in Kastoria, Greece. Saki is survived by his devoted longtime companion Deborah Papagiannopoulos, her son Nick, and their faithful dog Rizzo. Also survived by his daughter Elena, sons Christos and Simon, brother Yanni, sister-in-law Eleni, and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brother Markos. Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 600 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento, CA, 95816 followed by burial at 12:00 P.M> at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA, 95819. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund.
